hoquet et bonrien

I drank some beer, laughed at something and got the hoquet.  It sounds kinda like the Norse God Loki but no e but an i sound like in “it.” (low-ki)

The Louisiana French dictionary has hoquet for singular and plural.  He drank some bonne bière fraide and got the hoquet after laughing at his drunken padna falling out of the back of the truck.  A related word for the example is bonrien, a good for nothing.  (sounds kinda like bon-yan with no n after ya)
