I hear this word all the time. It means therefore and is used with English often.
Here are some made up examples.
“Bordelon loves her Natural Light 30 pack. Ca s’fait, I see
her getting down at Fontenot’s store every day after work. She runs in that store for that beer. She says she’s watching her weight, mais, she
drinks all 30 in two nights and that’s why she’s stays so big.”
“Guillory likes that crazy 80’s show Porky’s. Listen, I tell you he laughs and laughs so
much at that show. Ca s’fait, he watches
that movie every Friday night for him to laugh. Poor bête, ca s’fait, he has no
girlfriend because he’s too coo-coo.”
“Hebert, him, he likes to drive fast fast. Ca s’fait, the cops are always giving him some trouble.”
I guess I’m spelling that right. I looked in Daigle’s dictionary and it had
that spelling. It sounds like “sa fay.”
At least to me it sounds like that. I
also stumped Mom, Dad and even Paw Paw for the word for bruise.
