Barbe is sel and piment

My beard is salt and pepper.  I finally see some French words that I can guess how they’re pronounced .  Barbe sounds like (bawrb), sel like (sell) and piment sounds like (pea-mon).  “Some salt” sounds like (zugh-sell).  I’m not going to dye my beard.  You can forget it.  One yo-yo did that with his hair and he looked like Eddie Munster.  It looked absurd.  I’ll keep the sel and piment look.  My barbe, however, is slowly going more blanc than gris and I’m not yet 40.  It’s probably caused by stress brought on by my resistance to Cajunization.  That’s a joke.  Anyway, speaking of beards, Spike TV’s new show Rat Bastards comes on tonight.  The characters sport some serious barbe.  The ad for the series had me laughing.  They make the nutria look like monsters.  They’re bad for Louisiana and I’m glad they have a system set up to control them, but they’re not that damn vicious.   They’re selling the show so of course they’ll hype it.  They have Ville Platte and Opelousas people in it.  I’ll try to stay up and watch it.  I never ate nutria but they say it’s good.  Maybe after a 6-pack.  I don’t know.   I ate chaoui before and a variety of other things so nutria probably wouldn’t be too bad.  But it’s their look that turns me, and I’m sure other people, off from trying to eat one.  Big rats with orange teeth.  They’re not rats but they sure as Hell look like them.
