Bastille Day in Ville Platte

Mike has been talking and blogging about Bastille Day in Ville Platte. He talked to Mom Hebert the other night and I had him tell them that if they were gonna go today, to let me know. Since I'm not from around here, I thought it would be fun and interesting. And I knew it would be a good chance to some time with Mom and Dad and Matthew and for us to get to know each other better. Especially since I will soon become part of their wonderful family. Mike had to work today and wasn't able to go. I know he enjoys going to events like this, so I told him I would take pictures and some videos for him to see and blog about this evening. I'm so glad I went, and I was right. I had fun and learned some things. And best of all, I enjoyed the time I got to spend with my very soon to be in-laws. Dad is from Ville Platte and knew quite a few people who were at the festival. Everything was amazing! And the jambalayas were very tasty and filling. I even brought home some jambalaya for Mike. I learned a bit Tony Chachere and why his products are so popular around Louisiana. I had never heard of his seasonings until I moved out here, but use them faithfully when I cook. Jack Miller had a tent displaying their sauces and Papa Gators had a tent also. Today was a very enjoyable day all around. Can't wait til the next time I get to experience another great Louisiana event. Hopefully next time, Mike will be able to come with us.

Oh yes, baby, I love this stuff.  I'm so glad you spent time with my family and enjoyed the day.  John is a cool dude and he's making what people talked about reality.  It's all so amazing to me.  A future museum?  Awesome.  Just awesome.  I'm so glad Dad saw all that.  He's the one that inspired me so much about all that.

That's it for me. It's been real. I used to talk about this subject on forums and with people and several found it annoying. Evangel...
