Good supper tonight. I love to see products with Creole in it. It would fit perfect for all the areas in Louisiana with the background. The Creoles in Abbeville could celebrate their French or African or Acadian family history while simply calling the area and people as Creole. New Iberia could celebrate their Spanish and Acadian and African history, etc. But the area and people would be Creole. Not calling the area Cajun would not take away Acadian history and heritage. Some areas would have more Acadian history to talk about and that's fine. That way, there wouldn't be all this crazy confusion. Go to the northern areas of "Acadiana" to celebrate Cajun culture, like Mansura or Ville Platte. I notice in popular writings how people describe this "Cajun" culture as different, from say, Abbeville. But they never go deeper into the reasons why. And if they do look into the history of the area it goes in one ear and out the other. It's all Acadian and thus Cajun even if there is no Acadian heritage. Explain that. Many people just drink another beer and say whatever. I just want to have a good time.
