Louisiana French people

Man, Avoyelles, Evangeline, Pointe Coupee is so similar to Acadia, Terrebonne, Lafourche, etc. Some parish areas have more Acadian than others. But they are all so similar. I'm talking about "Acadiana." It's strange because the Acadians were Viking people from Denmark.

Wait!! What am I talking about. Acadians were from France and were French people. They left France and changed a little but they were still very "French." They kept a lot of culture that originated in France.

Now the Avoyelles Rabalais and Evangeline Lafleur came from the frozen North and they brought over their Eskimo heritage to Louisiana. (joke derived from Winston;-) )

Wait!! The Rabalais and Lafleur also came from France and they too brought over French culture to Louisiana.

Man, but then in South Louisiana there were Germans, Spanish, Africans, Native Americans, etc who showed the French people different things too. All in the Louisiana colony.

Well, yeah, that's why the South Louisiana "Franco" culture is Creole. It's not Acadian, French, Spanish, African, German, etc. It's a mixture of all the cultures. All the groups who came during the Louisiana colonial period had children and they became Creole. Think of how a person becomes an American.

Then the word Creole all changed and got confusing. Cajun is fine but it's closely related to Acadian and Acadia. I'm glad American and Louisianian are more inclusive words. Creole was perfect until it got all screwed up.
